Meet Our Team

Melissa started working for Dr. Bonaventura in 2007 as an intern while attending the Texas School of Business where she earned her Registered Dental Assistant license. She has worked in several areas of the office from taking care of patient's needs at the front desk, chairside with Dr. Bonaventura for several years as well as her current position as Office Manager. Melissa works hard to make sure each and every one of us meet patient's expectations and needs. She takes pride in us working as a team to achieve these goals. 

Lucia joined our practice in March of 2023 and is the friendly face at the front desk! She graduated from Astrodome Career Center in 2017 as a dental assistant and began her dental career journey working in general dentistry and then transitioned into oral and maxillofacial surgery. With over 5 years of dental experience and cross trained to work both back and front office, Lucia has realized she really enjoys working the front! She loves to help people smile and is happy to answer questions, plan for appointments, help resolve concerns and make your visits a great experience. On her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, reading, watching Netflix shows, playing volleyball, and spending time with her boyfriend as well as friends and family. She is currently taking online courses as she would like to further her education.

Tiffany joined our Pearland Periodontics Team in June 2022, and we are so happy that she did! She comes to us with many years of experience having been in the dental field for more than 25 years. She started her dental career as a dental assistant for 15 years and then transitioned to front desk, insurance, billing/collections and Treatment Coordination for the last 10 years. 

Tiffany is married to the love of her life and proud mom to 4 kids - Triniti, Tristin, Jayden and Skyler. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing board games, playing Dungeons and Dragons and watching anime.

'Tever' joined our team in December of 2022 and brings more than 20 years of dental experience to our practice. She's a well-rounded dental professional who's held a number of different roles including dental assistant, trainer/educator, clinical supervisor and now dental hygienist. Her favorite part of dentistry is treating gum disease and educating her patients on the correlation of healthy mouth and healthy body. 

Tever is a native Houstonian, graduate of Sterling High School, Houston. In her free time, she loves having family and friends over to catch up. She seeks opportunities to volunteer in underserved communities. 

Sophia started working in dentistry in 2008 and become a Registered Dental Assistant in 2010. She began working for Dr. Bonaventura in May of 2011 as her Dental Assistant before taking a leave of absence to give birth to her baby girl Natalia in mid-2013. Sophia couldn’t stay away long and has now taken on the responsibilities of surgical assistant to Dr. James and Dr. Sheng and as well as Patient Care Coordinator for the practice. With her experience chairside along with her warm personality she looks forward to spreading the word about the services and expertise that Pearland Periodontics has to offer. 

Sophia has been married to her husband Eric since 2002 and they have two wonderful children Marco and Natalia. She loves any time spent with family and friends, going to the movies and playing volleyball.

Tami joined the Pearland Periodontics team in 2018 and is our Professional Relationship Director (PRD). She has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing. Her role as PRD is to develop and maintain on-going professional relationships between our practice and referring doctors in addition to fostering the practice's growth through marketing and promotional activities. She is also the ambassador of special projects and events including managing social media. Her extensive marketing communications background along with her warm personality and enthusiasm makes her a valued member of our team. 

Away from the office, Tami brings the same dedication to her role as wife and mother. She and her husband, Mike, have been Pearland residents since 2000 and have two children. Tami enjoys shopping, working out, trying out Pinterest ideas, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Ruby joined our practice in September of 2023 and we're so happy that she did! Ruby grew up in Alvin, TX and is proud to call Pearland her home. She graduated from the Dental Assistant Program at Alvin Community College in 2020 and has been assisting since. She loves running into patients while out and about.

Ruby is married to her husband Ricky. Together, they are proud parents to five beautiful children - Marcus, Xavier, Marisa, Mari and Jordan. In her spare time, Ruby loves spending it with her family, decorating and eating good FOOD!
